Keswick is a remote Whitsunday island, south of the more populated Hamilton Island region. Thirty-four kilometres off mainland Mackay, Brampton Island is its nearest tourist base. Flights operate between Australia's major cities and Mackay daily and same-day transfers to Keswick are easily arranged.

How to Get Here

Keswick is just ten minutes flight from Mackay. Serviced by two local carriers, Keswick currently receives up to four incoming flights a day, with further capacity. Visitors may book directly to arrange light plane or helicopter flights.

A wave-piercing ferry service makes regular trips between mainland Mackay and Keswick Island. The journey takes approximately forty minutes. Brampton Island is only 15 minutes by boat, Hamilton Island is a leisurely 90 minutes andMackay, less than 40 minutes.

Where to Stay

Keswick Island Guesthouse offers individual and small group accommodation inclusive of fine dining. Some private residences are also available for rent.

Currently all island food and beverages are flown in, so self-catering options are limited. The Guesthouse provides meals by prior arrangement.

Some souvenirs are available and further basic retail facilities are planned for 2010.
