How to Get Here

From any capital city in Australia, travel to tropical, thriving Mackay, Queensland. Board a light aircraft and its a mere 12 minute, spectacular flight amongst the Whitsunday Cumberland Groups' islands to our sealed airstrip.

(Tip: make sure you have a camera at the ready!)

On the map, Keswick Island is located 34 kilometres (18 nautical miles) east-north-east of Mackay, a one hour commercial airline flight from Brisbane. From Mackay Harbour marina, it takes 40 minutes in a wave piercing ferry.

Back to the map, you'll see how Keswick and its twin island, St Bees, are at the southern-most tip of the Whitsunday islands in the Cumberland group.

Brampton Island is the nearest 'well known' tourist destination, a short sail north of that is Club Med at Lindeman Island, and slightly further north is the holiday mecca, Hamilton Island.

Where to Stay

At this early stage of development, there are a few options. Keswick Island Guesthouse offers individual and small group accommodation inclusive of fine dining.

Some private residences are also available for rent. Our very own Kerryn and Peter Beck run the holiday letting operation, Beach Escapes - Keswick Island.

Currently all island food and beverages are flown in, so self-catering options are limited. The Guesthouse provides meals by prior arrangement.

Some souvenirs are available and further basic retail facilities are planned for 2011.
