Building Practice

The island's four buildings under construction and sixteen completed homes, have been project managed and built by local experts. For any questions relating to specific building processes on the island, please contact Keswick Developments.

Materials Delivery and Machinery

Builders and Trades have easy access to and from the island with daily flights. Materials are shipped from mainland Mackay, a thriving sea-port. Keswick's barge ramp has been upgraded and can accommodate barges at nearly any tide level throughout the year. Heavy machinery including an excavator, bob cat, roller, front-end loader and mini digger, reside on the island and are available for hire at competitive rates.

Keswick Island now has accommodation and leisure facilities for up to 26 contractors. This will greatly aid building as it reduces the costs of transport to and from the island.
